Never Give Up: K-Pop Group Get First Music Show Wins 10 Years After Debut, Sparking Deep Emotions

Congratulations to them on their wins!

While there are many measures of success, one that continues to be a standard for K-Pop fans are music show wins. Each of the weekly and now monthly music shows awards trophies to the group with the highest score based on specific scoring standards.

For many groups, a first win is very emotional for both fans and the idols.

3rd Gen Boy Group Left Emotional After First Win On Music Show In Nearly 8 Years

Recently, a boy group achieved their first win, ten years after their original debut!

In August 2015, a band then known as M.A.S 0094 released their first single after months of covering songs in public and donating funds to charity in support of comfort women. Two years later, they would move to RBW and be renamed MAS, before their 2019 re-debut as ONEWE.

ONEWE is the brother group to the traditional K-Pop boy group ONEUS (ONEWE Dongmyeong’s twin brother is ONEUS’s Xion), but they are considered a K-Pop rock band. ONEWE has been active since, releasing music consistently through the years.

On October 7, the group released their latest mini-album Maze: Ad Astra and have been promoting it since.

For the October 15 edition of Show! Champion, ONEWE was nominated for first place up against four other acts, but ultimately were announced as first place.

The group were very emotional and grateful, with members wiping tears away during their impressive live encore.

Before finishing up promotions, the group actually earned an additional music show win! ENA K-Pop Chart Show occurs monthly and gives three awards, including the ENA Fans Choice which ONEWE were announced to have won on October 22!

Fans have expressed their strong emotions about the group’s recent music show wins, praising them for their continued hard work over the last decade!

Congrats to ONEWE!
