British Pop Group New Hope Club Visit A K-Pop Music Show And Get Their Own “Ending Fairy” Moments

Let’s be honest, they killed it 🔥

One of the hallmarks of a K-Pop music show is the last few seconds of a performance. Ever since Produce 101‘s Chaeyeon went viral for her beauty at the end of the “Into the New World” cover, the so-called “ending fairy” moment was born.

Both junior and senior K-Pop groups have joined the trend. Most of the time, only one member has the camera focused on them…

BTS’s Jin

…but sometimes, it’s two or more who do it together.

And even more rarely, non-K-Pop groups become ending fairies as well! This is exactly what happened when British pop trio New Hope Club were invited to perform on SBS‘s The Show as part of their Global Special Stage.

Composed of Reece Bibby, Blake Richardson, and George Smith, they performed their newest track, “Getting Better,” which was released last June.

Their stage was just like other K-Pop group comeback layouts, complete with life sized props befitting of their tropical beach theme.

Like other Korean acts, they performed their hearts out from start to finish—including the ending fairy part.

George held up two peace signs…

…Reece gave fans a finger heart…

…and finally, Blake ended strong with a flying kiss to the camera and a wave.

The boys went viral soon after for their unexpected—and successful—K-Pop crossover.

The group themselves uploaded the ending fairy scene to their TikTok account, asking fans, “How did we do?”

This is not the first time New Hope Club had a taste of the K-Pop industry. They previously performed their song “Know Me Too Well” on M Countdown‘s Studio M stage in 2019.

They are also one of the few artists who are part of Weverse, the same fan-oriented site that HYBE and YG Entertainment groups are active in. BTS further singled them out as musicians they want to collaborate with.

New Hope Club will be participating in the Haus Of Wonder Festival alongside acts like Zion.T, TREASURE, P1Harmony, and more this coming August 6.
