They have sparked buzz in the media with just a short clip.

A new virtual girl group is getting ready to step into the K-Pop industry and they’re already causing a lot of buzz. Thanks to their concept, many are wondering if the upcoming rookies could be established virtual group PLAVE‘s female counterpart.

The four-member team, IXIA, is drawing attention ahead of their official debut this month.

IXIA is the latest project from entertainment and artist production company Megameta. The lineup — Cheongah, Haerang, Luhwa, and Jiya — was revealed through the group’s official social media, where they also dropped a short motion logo video. The teaser sparked a lot of speculation about what kind of concept they’ll bring to the table.

According to the agency, IXIA is built around a fantasy concept of “four girls with special powers who protect love.” Their goal is to send messages of love and hope through music, while showcasing the strengths that set them apart from other virtual idols.

Unlike many virtual groups that rely purely on visuals, all members of IXIA reportedly have professional music backgrounds. They’re said to be skilled in producing, songwriting, and composing, alongside strong vocal and dance abilities. Their fluency in multiple languages has also raised expectations for their potential in the global market.

The mastermind behind the project is Na Byung Joon, the founder and former head of Fantagio — known for working with stars like Cha Eunwoo, Seo Kang Joon, and Ha Jung Woo. IXIA marks his first foray into virtual artist IP, and industry watchers are curious to see how his experience will shape their debut.

IXIA’s official debut is set for August, with more updates on their concept, music, and promotions expected in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to learn more about IXIA!
