NJZ (NewJeans) Takes Further Legal Step To Challenge Activity Ban
NJZ (NewJeans) has appealed the latest court ruling regarding their ongoing legal battle with ADOR.

On April 16, KST, NJZ’s representative law firm, Shin & Kim LLC, announced that they had filed an immediate appeal against the court’s decision to uphold the original provisional injunction filed by ADOR that restricted the members from carrying out any entertainment-related activities independently.
The firm also made it clear that they are still working toward building a case against ADOR that accurately reflects the issues that NJZ members have raised with the company.
Today, the court handling the injunction has rendered a decision approving the original ruling. In response, we have filed an immediate appeal.
We will continue to diligently participate in the ongoing legal procedures and do our utmost to ensure that the facts are clearly brought to light.

This statement came after the court officially rejected NJZ’s attempt to overturn the first ruling regarding the injunction. On march 21, 2025, the court approved ADOR’s provisional injunction, restoring the agency’s status as the official management of the NJZ members and barring them from any independent activities. The group’s legal representatives then filed an objection against this ruling, and the hearing took place on April 9, lasting for about fifteen minutes.

On April 16, KST, the Seoul Central Distrcit Court’s Division 50 dismissed this objection officially, delivering another major blow to the group’s legal battle against HYBE. But as per the latest statement by Shin & Kim, they are not giving up yet.
The group’s last entertainment activity was at ComplexCon in Hong Kong on March 23, following which, it has remained inactive. While they are still trying to fight ADOR in court, public opinion has turned against them majorly, more so after the latest ruling. Read more about it here:
