In 2022, the survival program Stars Awakening selected seven competitors to form the final group, n.SSign. The following year, after pre-debut activities, n.SSign was restructured, adding three new members before their official debut on August 9, 2023.

Earlier this summer, many were shocked by several messages shared by n.SSign member Eddie. In these messages, Eddie hinted at not only discord between him and the company but also between the group members.

After this, Eddie was announced to take a hiatus in a message that did not satisfy many group fans.

Since then, it appears that the group has only faced more issues.

It was announced on August 5 that Hyun, who had been on a health-related hiatus since the previous July, would be leaving the group to focus on his acting career. However, despite this, he and member Doha, who has been on a health-related hiatus since October 2023, both attended the group’s anniversary fan meeting on August 6, with only Eddie not attending.

While this may not be alarming at first glance, the group’s level of activities adds additional background.

n.SSign debuted on August 9, 2023, but were active pre-debut, releasing a mini-album and a repackage in April and May 2023, respectively.

After releasing a Japanese track in November, the group returned with a second mini-album in February 2024, followed by Tiger in July. And while it appears these releases were spaced out, the group remained busy in between with events and promotions.

The group’s high level of activities has left many concerned they may be close to experiencing burnout, especially considering that another member, Junhyeok, was recently announced to be taking a “break” due to “poor physical condition.”

Fans have also pointed out that several of the members look exhausted, with a clip of Robin from a recent music show causing even more concern.

Fans have demanded that the company let the group rest so that all of the members have time to recover and be at their best.
