Ha Jung Woo looked straight into the camera with a blank face, and many netizens found it hilarious that a famous actor was riding the subway without wearing a mask, but nobody was paying attention to him. Others expressed how they wished they saw Ha Jung Woo on the subway.

On July 18, Ha Jung Woo appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel TEO and revealed that he was returning to Seoul from Pangyo after a fan meeting when he took that picture. He clarified that he only took the picture because he had to send a picture of him wearing the Jeep t-shirt.

I was a model for this t-shirt brand. I was on my way back from a brand event at the Pangyo Hyundai Department Store. That day, I had dinner plans in Gangnam, but it was rush hour, so I couldn’t take my car. I had no choice but to take the subway, and I received a call from the brand asking for a photo of me wearing this t-shirt. So I thought, ‘Ok, I’ll just take a quick photo and send it,’ and took that photo right there.

He then recalled the atmosphere of the subway train when that picture was taken, claiming it was easy to take a picture because nobody was paying attention to him.

It was easy taking a picture because when I rode the subway, everyone was just looking at their phones. I thought, ‘Oh, this is the atmosphere these days, it’s safe,’ so I took the picture.

First, the picture was just a random moment of a blank-faced Ha Jung Woo humbly writing the subway. Now, it’s an iconic picture of the actor that shows his down-to-earth and relatable side and his professionalism when it comes to being a brand ambassador!
