On April 28 (KST), the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards took place, honoring many of the biggest names in the Korean entertainment industry. From the event’s start, viewers were impressed by the looks many celebrities wore on the red carpet, including Song Hye Kyo, Park Eun Bin, and IU.

Once the show began, many moments earned attention from netizens, like Lim Ji Yeon sweetly mentioning her boyfriend, Lee Do Hyun, during her speech…

…and Park Eun Bin‘s tearful acceptance of her “Best Actress” award.

Another moment that caught attention occurred before the show, instead of during, and involved two of the celebrity hosts — Bae Suzy and Park Bo Gum.

The two stars were confirmed to host the program alongside comedian Shin Dong Yup again earlier this month, likely to help promote the pair’s upcoming film, Wonderland. 

The three stars walked the red carpet together, posing for photos as is the standard for program MCs. Suzy instantly caught attention for her doll-like visuals in a massive bridal gown.

The dress was so large Suzy had to hold it up while walking and required assistance to ensure it was placed on the ground to avoid any snags.

Fans couldn’t help but notice that Bogum followed behind Suzy and kept looking down as though to ensure her dress was fine on the ground!

He instructs her to go first as they are filmed arriving, sharing a smile. Park Bo Gum also takes a moment to make sure her dress is out of the way before following when they depart from the red carpet.

The pair showed off chemistry throughout the night, from the cute moment they made cheek hearts at each other to their outfit changes matching each other perfectly and both being startled by confetti guns simultaneously.
