SBS Reveals Park Min Young’s Sister Is Listed As A Director For One Of Kang Jong Hyun’s Alleged Businesses
Ever since media outlet Dispatch released a bombshell article alleging actress Park Min Young was dating controversial businessman Kang Jong Hyun, all of the country’s media’s eyes have been on the pair.
What was striking for many in the Dispatch article was the cryptic business dealings of Kang Jong Hyun. The alleged former criminal’s sudden rise from mobile phone peddler to financial fraud mastermind to alleged defacto CEO of three publicly traded companies, in a span of a decade, has many scratching their heads.
One reason why Dispatch took an interest in Kang Jong Hyun is that he suddenly appeared out of nowhere in 2020, grabbing three KOSDAQ listed companies and Bithumb.
A fairly complex story now unfolds, but one question tops them all. How did Kang Jong Hyun raise ₩23.0 billion KRW (about $16.1 million USD)? How did he get these funds?

Dispatch then alleges that Kang Jong Hyun made the acquisitions of the publicly traded companies through a paper M&A vehicle which is owned 100% by his sister, who Dispatch alleges is CEO only in name. An informant gave credence to this claim in the article.
It’s true that he did not pay the money back. I heard he exchanged his credit for the debt. He hid behind his sister and had her as the face instead.

Amid the media circus, the actress herself, however, has been silent. Park Min Young has yet to release a statement, and her agency Hook Entertainment, which is also alleged to have ties with Kang Jong Hyun, has thus far evaded giving a statement.
And then on, September 29, SBS released an article containing evidence that further implicates Park Min Young‘s ties with the businessman. According to SBS, Park Min Young’s sister is listed on the board of directors of INBIOGEN, a company that was purchased by Kang Jong Hyun’s alleged paper company. According to SBS’s article, the actress’s sister was added on April 4, 2022.
Netizens are stating that the evidence implies that Park Min Young had been aware of Kang Jong Hyun’s business dealings and that it is proof that the two are indeed dating.
