Netizens began to be suspicious about her being edited out, and they found evidence that Han So Young was married. The show is supposed to be for never-married single people, but Han So Young appeared to have been married before—and photos from her wedding invitation circulated through various online communities. A netizen even uploaded a thank-you post that Han So Young posted after her wedding, saying that she had a great wedding and came back from her honeymoon.

On April 6, Han So Young confessed that she was once married.

When I applied to appear on the program, which is based on the premise of finding a spouse, I hid my marriage history (April 2016), which had a significant impact on my partner selection. I applied as a regular single person out of my own selfishness and short-sightedness.

She apologized for what she did and for saying it so late.

Although it’s already too late to apologize, I still want to tell everyone the truth and sincerely apologize.

Han So Young also expressed her regret for not apologizing when she was given the chance to.

Previously, the production team gave me a chance to make a public apology, but I missed the opportunity because of my selfishness, and I pretended to not know why I was edited out of the show.

She also apologized for how her actions negatively affected the production team and another contestant on the show. Han So Young and a man nicknamed Gwang Soo had chemistry on the show, but due to her scenes being cut out, many of his scenes were edited out as well.

I sincerely apologize for causing great damage not only to the production team but also to the cast of the 13th season, and especially Gwang Soo who was unable to show his charms to the viewers and was hurt because of me.

She then asked people to refrain from mentioning her company and previous husband.

I deeply apologize to the 13th season of I Am Solo, Gwang Soo, the production team, and the viewers. Hello, I am Han So Young, or Sun Ja, from the 13th season.

When I applied to appear on the program, which is based on the premise of finding a spouse, I hid my marriage history (April 2016), which had a significant impact on my partner selection. I applied as a regular single person out of my own selfishness and short-sightedness.

Although it’s already too late to apologize, I still want to tell everyone the truth and sincerely apologize.

Previously, the production team gave me a chance to make a public apology, but I missed the opportunity because of my selfishness, and I pretended to not know why I was edited out of the show.

I sincerely apologize for causing great damage not only to the production team but also to the cast of the 13th season, especially Gwang Soo who was unable to show his charms to the viewers and was hurt because of me.

I deeply apologize to those who have supported me during the 13th season. Although no words or actions can alleviate the pain of those who have been hurt, I will live my life reflecting on my actions and with a heart of lifelong repentance.

I am sorry to ask this, but I have two requests.

– My company is not related to what I have done, so please do not mention it in connection with me.

– The person in the past photo is also suffering from my actions, so please do not use any photos taken with that person.

Thank you for reading this long letter, and I apologize again.

Sincerely,

Han So Young
