Popular Idol’s Fan Event Cancelled Following Severe Fan Backlash
A special fan event for singer and former WANNA ONE star Ha Sung Woon has been abruptly canceled after facing intense criticism from fans.

On March 5, Ha Sung Woon’s agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, announced on his official fan café that the event scheduled for March 22 would no longer take place. The agency explained that the decision was made after considering fans’ concerns.
The event was initially planned as part of the singer’s birthday celebrations, with fans given the opportunity to enter a raffle for a fan signing and party by purchasing his 8th mini album Blessed, released in July last year. However, the announcement sparked controversy, as many were unhappy about having to buy an album that had already been on sale for months. Additionally, only 50 fans would have been selected to attend, further fueling frustration.

Following the announcement, social media was flooded with complaints. Fans criticized the agency for poor planning and for making participation difficult. Some fans expressed disappointment, saying they felt disrespected after supporting the artist for so long. Others questioned why a birthday celebration would be so exclusive, with many arguing that reducing it to a fan signing made it feel impersonal.
