JTBC‘s popular K-Drama Heavenly Ever After is facing heavy backlash after its most recent episode revealed a controversial twist that many viewers have called “absurd” and “disgusting.”

Many argued that the show dangerously justified abuse by attributing it to actions in a former life, sending a deeply problematic message to audiences.
