GOT7‘s Jinyoung has sparked fury with his comment about Israel amid the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
Jinyoung recently did a live for his birthday.
During the live, netizens noticed that Jinyoung read a comment about sending a kiss to Israel, and he read it and did one, sparking major anger among fans amid the ongoing genocide. While many idols have had backlash for staying silent or links to brands seen as supporting Israel, it has been rare (aside from those who have condemned the genocide) to mention the country so openly.

While netizens often want to educate fans, some were even harsher on Jinyoung, explaining that the genocide had been going on for long enough and isn’t unknown in Korea, so he should be aware without fans having to tell him.
