“Produce 48” Contestant Accidentally Reveals How Much She Makes On Live Streaming

“So all I have to do to get $_______ is stream a video like that.”

The Japanese Produce 48 contestant, Bibian Murakawa, recently held a live streaming session where she accidentally revealed how much she makes after failing to properly turn off the camera.

The clip that has gone viral with nearly 1 million views shows Murakawa say goodbye to her fans and return to being her ordinary 18-year-old self.

She then stated in a small voice, “So all I have to do to get 16,000 yen ($144) is stream a video like that.”

Moreover, a woman in the background who is presumably her mother added, “If you do 10 in a month, it’s the same as your monthly salary.” Murakawa seemed pleasantly surprised by this idea and mentioned that it was like a bonus.

Based on the information that was revealed, the HKT48 member’s monthly earnings would add up to approximately 160,000 yen ($1440).

Many fans have been responding to Murakawa’s reaction in a supportive way.

  • “It’s pretty natural to be happy over earning 16,000 yen. She seems like a good girl with a pure heart.”
  • “It’s not like she was dissing her listeners or anything.”
  • “If anything, I think more people will like her after this.”
  • “Idols are people too.”
