A popular TikTok influencer shared a video about “Gnarly,” saying he’d heard rumors about one of the sounds used in the track, and wanted to find out more from the producer. The sound itself can be interpreted as a woman moaning and out of context, can have sexual connotations.
The producer explained that they thought the song needed something extra and showed the two sounds separately, and with his comment, “If you zoom out a little bit from the audio clip, you can maybe see where the sound is from. You can take a guess.” It was seemingly implying that the sound was from something sexual.
As the full sound was shown, even the creator was shocked.
