A pre-debut photo of Irene has been circulating on the Korean forum Pann, drawing attention because she looks almost identical to how she does today. The post notes that Irene worked as a model before debuting as an idol and includes an image taken before she debuted with Red Velvet in 2014.
Despite being more than 10 years old, the photo shows little to no change in her appearance, with her features instantly recognizable.
Most reactions on Pann were positive. Many netizens commented that she looks “no different from now” and questioned why the photo was even being shared. Others pointed out that her visuals alone explained why she had modeling experience before entering the idol industry.
