Red Velvet’s Joy Will Miss All 4 “R to V” Shows In Europe Due To Health Concerns

The Red Velvet star will miss the remaining shows of the group’s ongoing world tour.

Red Velvet‘s Europe tour organizer, Magic Sound, has unfortunately announced that Joy will be missing the group’s upcoming concerts for their highly-anticipated R to V tour. After expressing their regret for having to break the sad news, the organizer said the rest of the members, Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Yeri, will still be performing. They promised to make each show an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

The artist’s wellbeing and safety are out top priority, we appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Earlier today, SM Entertainment updated fans on Joy’s condition through a statement shared on KWANGYA CLUB. The statement mentioned the Red Velvet star would halt all activities in order to undergo treatment and rest after it was advised by doctors. Her absence from Red Velvet’s upcoming shows, part of their tour, in Asia was also announced by each venue. While it’s disappointing that she won’t be able to join her fellow members on stage, fans are supportive of her decision to prioritize her health and well-being.

Joy recently visited a hospital due to her poor condition and, following an examination and counseling, received the opinion from the doctors that treatment and rest were required.

Therefore, Joy will not participate in any schedules for the time being and will instead take a break to recover her health.

Red Velvet are set to embark on their Europe tour on May 24, kicking it off in Paris. The tour will then continue in Berlin on May 27 and Amsterdam on May 30. Finally, Red Velvet will conclude the European leg of R to V in London on June 6.

The group is also set to make perform at the popular Primavera Festival in Barcelona and Madrid on June 1 and June 9, respectively.

R to V will be Red Velvet’s first tour in Europe, with a large dedicated following full of fans that have waited years to attend one of their concerts. It will also be their first major tour overall since the 2019 Redmare tour, which had stops in Asia and the United States.

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment announced that the decision to temporarily halt Joy’s activities was made following thorough discussions with her and vowed to do their best in helping Joy recover.

We will do our best to help Joy meet her fans in good health soon, and we will let you know as soon as possible once Joy will resume her activities.
