Red Velvet’s Yeri Is The Perfect “Rich B*tch” Queen Bee — And Netizens Are Here For It
Red Velvet‘s Yeri showed off her acting skills in a new K-Drama called BITCH X RICH, and netizens are impressed with her villainous performance.
On May 31, BITCH X RICH aired its first episode. The web drama is about a poor student named Kim Hye In (played by Lee Eun Saem), who becomes the only witness to the murder of a high school student at the prestigious Cheongdam International High School, which houses kids from noble families. She becomes entangled with Baek Jenna (played by Yeri), the queen of the school, who becomes the leading suspect.
From the first scene she appears in, Baek Jenna is a spoiled heiress who cannot be messed with because of her powerful family—and she knows it. Nobody in the school can stand up to her, not even her teachers.

Yeri even posted a behind-the-scenes clip on her Instagram that showed playing Baek Jenna wasn’t easy.

In November 2022, when SM Entertainment confirmed that she would be playing a rich heiress, Yeri stated her excitement about showing a different side of her as an actress.

Some of the other students that attend Cheongdam International High School in BITCH X RICH are played by actors Lee Jong Hyuk and Yoo Jung Hoo.
This isn’t the first time Yeri showed off her acting skills; she made her acting debut in 2021 with tvN‘s Drama Stage — Mint Condition and, in the same year, acted in Naver TV‘s web drama Blue Birthday.
