Richard Marx helps subdue passenger having violent meltdown on Korean Air flight
American music legend Richard Marx was involved in a recent altercation aboard a Korean Air flight from Hanoi to Seoul.
According to Richard Marx and his wife Daisy Fuentes, a passenger in sitting in the row in front of the pair suddenly had a violent breakdown and began attacking staff members and other passengers. On an Instagram post, Daisy Fuentes wrote, “On our flight from Hanoi to Seoul a guy sitting in the next row from us got crazy & started attacking the flight attendants & passengers.”
Although Richard Marx helped the staff originally subdue the man, he was apparently never fully restrained and was somehow able to escape multiple times within the four hour flight. Photos posted on social media showed Richard Marx working with multiple staff members to hold down the passenger, as other crew members took photos.

Since landing safely from the flight, Richard Marx has posted a series of tweets about the experience, noting how ill-equipped the crew was and how dangerous the situation became. Among the complaints that he and his wife made were that the crew did not know how to use the taser they were brandishing and were unable to succesfully restrain the passenger during the duration of the flight.
