RIIZE Already Announced As The New Models For MUSINSA, But Netizens Aren’t Impressed

Is it favoritism?

Earlier today, Korean fashion brand MUSINSA shared the following image and emojis on their Twitter page.

While this might not mean a whole lot to many people, fans of SM Entertainment‘s upcoming boy group RIIZE quickly realized that the emojis included in the caption are those that the members are going by, thanks to how unique they are.

They concluded, then, that the soon-to-be idols are going to be the new models for MUSINSA, despite the fact that they haven’t even debuted yet.

RIIZE’s fans were happy for the group, and shared their pride in the members in the comments of the original tweet.

However, others saw this as a sign that artists from the “Big Four” K-Pop companies — SM Entertainment, JYP EntertainmentYG Entertainment, and HYBE Labels — have unfair privileges when it comes to brand deals and other opportunities like this.

The topic of RIIZE getting a modeling gig before they’ve debuted became a topic of conversation on an online forum, and netizens were fairly critical in the comments section.

Some people are glad, at least, that they’re not representing a luxury brand since many of their fans will likely be younger, so at least MUSINSA should be a good fit for them!
