Rookie Boy Group Agency Uploads Savage AF Notice About Basic Manners At Upcoming ISAC
After two years, MBC‘s Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC)—K-Pop’s biggest sports event—is finally just around the corner. Fans can’t wait to watch their favorite idols compete in fun events and interact with members from different groups.
In line with this, Yuehua Entertainment—the agency of TEMPEST, EVERGLOW, and Lee Do Hyun—was a hot topic after they uploaded savage guidelines for the event.
The first three points talked about taking photos and videos, bringing individual placards, and approaching the members to converse with them.
- No photography, videography, audio recording, or use of telescopes will be allowed. If found, we reserve the right to take possession.
- For this event, guests are allowed to bring individual placards and other items for cheering on from the audience.
- No personal conversations directed at the artists will be allowed. The staff on-site reserve the right to stop any attempts at any time.
But it was their wording about fan seats that really caught people’s attentions. They wrote in all caps that only true fans of their rookie boy group TEMPEST are allowed to sign up as their guests. If fans from a different group are caught, they will be asked to leave.
- IF YOU ENTER AS TEMPEST’S GUEST AND LEAVE TO SUPPORT ANOTHER GROUP, WE WILL ASK YOU TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.
The company had reason to be concerned. Given the limited seats available per fandom, there have been stories of people signing up under a lesser known group to have greater chances of entering the venue. Once they make it inside, they change seats to support their actual bias group.
Many netizens who read Yuehua Entertainment’s notice supported their stance, saying it was “evil” of fans to cheat the rules like that. Not only is it unfair for true fans, it also means there will be fewer people present to cheer for the members.
Other netizens weren’t even aware that it was a long-standing issue, but those who have heard of it said it used to “happen frequently.” Hopefully, it won’t repeat again in this year’s event.
