Sandra Oh Speaks Korean During Her Emotional Golden Globe Winning Speech

She gave a special shoutout in Korean for her parents.

Sandra Oh won the “Best Actress In A Television Series, Drama” at the 2019 Golden Globes, for her impeccable performance in Killing Eve.

 

During her acceptance speech, she thanked her cast and team members that made Killing Eve possible. But she mentioned that there were two special people that she particularly wanted to thank.

“But mostly there are two people here tonight that I’m so grateful that they’re here with me. I’d like to thank my mother and my father…”

She teared up as she thanked her mother and father, who were both present at the awards ceremony that night. She concluded her speech by telling them that she loves them in Korean, and giving them a deep bow of gratitude.

Her parents were extremely proud of her as her father even stood up to applaud her with the biggest smile and love as she got up on stage to receive her award!

 

Sandra Oh plays Eve Polastri, in the American-British television drama Killing Eve, where she is an intelligent spy who becomes bored with her job until she meets Villanelle – a psychopathic assassin.
