S.Coup’s “Confirms” Members’ Enlistment Dates With SEVENTEEN’s Hiatus Announcement, Triggering Emotional Response
SEVENTEEN‘s activities will take a break soon.
On May 13, SEVENTEEN held the first of their Yakusoku fan meetings in Japan. The fan meetings are scheduled to take place May 13-14 at the Tokyo Dome, and May 23-24 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka.
During the fan meeting, which was also live-streamed, S. Coups shared updates and thoughts on the group’s upcoming activities. According to the group’s leader, after the fan meetings and their 10th anniversary fan meeting, the group will enter a “hiatus period.”
This hiatus period will continue “until the day we all come back.”

Additionally, he added that he would work hard while this was happening to keep fans from getting “distracted.
This was taken as a confirmation of the remaining members enlisting before the end of this year, with a date of 2028 seeming to be the timing for their return as 13.
Fans reacted with varying emotions, expressing both sadness and excitement over the hiatus and the group’s full return.
