SEVENTEEN Members Receive A 10 Million KRW Fine If They Miss Their Meetings
SEVENTEEN‘s Vernon guested on Episode 4 of Haha and Yang Se Chan‘s new YouTube series Public TV Dumb*ss.
Vernon revealed that the SEVENTEEN members are quite close, continuing to live together. The hosts know that a large group must sometimes suffer from misunderstandings, though, so they asked how they resolve matters. Vernon explained that they communicate. He revealed that they even have regular group meetings, which helps. Each month, a different member covers costs. We joke around a lot and we also talk about work. …To be accurate, every time we meet, the member who takes care of that month pays.

Vernon revealed even more details concerning the monthly meetings. There’s sometimes a dress code depending on the member hosting…
There are members who do, but I don’t. Last time, DK chose Harry Potter. Cloak, hat, tie, etc… DK ordered the costumes and designated them to us.

The hosts wondered if there was a penalty for not wearing the costume. Vernon said there wasn’t, and it would only disappoint the member organizing the meeting.
Yet, there is a penalty for something else!
Vernon revealed that one must pay a ₩10.0 million KRW (about $7,300 USD) fine if they miss a meeting, which is why no one ever misses a meeting! There is an exemption, though. If someone is legitimately sick or suffering from a fever, for instance, they can miss it without penalty.
according to vernon, for seventeen’s monthly meetings, members who come late to the meetings need to pay 100K won for each minute they are late and if they cant attend without any reasonable explanation, they need to 10M won 🥲😂😭 pic.twitter.com/PPoyCKjT5M

While no one has had to pay the ₩10.0 million KRW (about $7,300 USD), someone had to pay some for being late. Members must pay ₩100,000 KRW (about $73.00 USD) per minute they are late.
so for seventeen’s monthly meetings, there’s a 10 million won fine if a member doesn’t show up without a valid reason and a 100,000 won fine for every minute they’re late 😆 pic.twitter.com/WtJSDZJFzO

Where does the money go, though? The penalty fee gathered is actually used when the PLEDIS Entertainment staff go on to their gatherings.
