Lip piercings aren’t an especially common accessory in K-Pop, whether they’re fake or, even less likely, actually real.

The most notable K-Pop idol that has rocked a real lip piercing is probably BTS‘s Jungkook, but others such as VICTON‘s Hanse and WINNER‘s Mino have also made the bold move of debuting real lip piercings.

Fake lip rings are more common, especially during promotion periods, and have been worn by idols such as TXT‘s Yeonjun, EXO‘s Baekhyun, ATEEZ‘s Seonghwa, and Chungha, to name just a few.

Now, a new name can be added to the list of idols who have debuted a lip piercing: SEVENTEEN‘s The8!

He was first seen with the piercing on October 11 at Seoul Fashion Week, which he attended with fellow SEVENTEEN member Jun.

Along with the piercing, The8 was also rocking some vibrant blue-purple hair, further adding to his bold and daring look.

He also posted a series of selfies later in the day, giving fans a closer view of the new piercing.

While there’s no way to know just yet whether or not the piercing is real, there’s no denying that the K-Pop idol definitely suits it well!

And of course, Carats are having some pretty relatable reactions to his visuals on social media.

Hopefully soon The8 will share whether or not the piercing is around to stay!
