SHINee Key’s Fans Donate 12.1 Million KRW To Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation
For SHINee member Key‘s birthday, his fans donated a total amount of 12.1 Million KRW (approximately $10,404 USD) to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation in South Korea.
The money donated in Key’s name will be used to aid finances for the treatment for a child with Leukemia whose parent was affected financially by COVID-19.
Fans who arranged the donation expressed that they decided to donate to help a child because Key loves children. They released a statement that said, “We heard that there was a single-parent family that is struggling to provide for their child because they were affected by COVID-19. We hope Key’s fans, who love children just like Key does, can be helpful“.
In the past, Key himself visited Kyungpook National University Chilgok Hospital before he went into the military and donated 10 Million KRW (approximately $8,598 USD) to help sick children.
The fans are thankful that Key has influenced them to think about others in the community. They are patiently waiting for Key’s discharge from the military on October 7.
