SHINee fans get excited: Taemin is set to finish his military enlistment in just a few days!

After originally starting his military service on May 31, 2021, the beloved maknae is set to complete his time there on April 4. Originally a member of the military band, Taemin transferred to public service in January 2022 due to symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Fans were understandably concerned for Taemin after hearing this news, and it made everyone even more impatient for the SHINee member to complete his service. So with only a few days left until that happens, not only are fans celebrating, but Taemin himself took to social media in preparation!

In the Twitter post on SHINee’s official account, Taemin shared two photos: One of himself with his pet cat, Kkoong, and the other with him cutely booping the kitty’s nose.

The post was simply captioned with the hashtag #TAEMINisback_D6v6, a play on the six days left of his military service at the time of its posting (12AM KST on March 29) as well as the emoji 6v6 that’s used to represent him.

And it’s clear that fans are elated to see this post from Taemin — at this time, it has over 82,000 likes, 47,000 retweets, and 2.3 million views! It also had him trending on Twitter for a while.
