The “Unpopular” Woman “Single’s Inferno 5” Song Seung Il Would Date IRL
The cast of Single’s Inferno 5 recently sat down with ELLE KOREA to offer dating advice to viewers. During the interview, the singles also revealed more about their own dating preferences.
The fourth submission they pulled from a box of queries was about “alpha women” and whether or not they’re unpopular.
I’m a full-on Gyeonsang Province alpha woman. I’m starting college soon, but my mom keeps telling me to tone down my personality. She says everyone there will be sweet and cute, and I’m too intense. With all this alpha soft talk these days, are 99-percent-alpha women unpopular?

“I love alpha women,” Seung Il said, “They’re totally my type. Even if your mom tells you to tone it down, just keep being intense and do what you want. That’s what an alpha is.” Seung Il then turned to his fellow cast members and asked, “Are there really no men who like alphas?”
Woo Seung Min and Shin Hyeon Woo weren’t sure because they weren’t clear about the differences between “alpha” and “soft.”
Then Seung Il asked, “Isn’t a woman who leads attractive?”
He then said he wants to be “alpha,” but not a typical alpha male; “I want to be alpha. Not an alpha like an alpha male, more like an alpha woman.”
