SM Entertainment Boy Group Set To Hold Concert In “Insulting” Venue

Fans were left angry and disappointed.

SM Entertainment boy group and NCT unit WayV are set to bring their ON THE Way tour to Seoul in February 2025. While the announcement initially delighted fans, their excitement quickly turned into disappointment after noticing the venue where the concert will be held.

The group will perform at Bluesquare Mastercard Hall, a venue with only 1,400 seats.

Even with standing room included, fan estimates suggest the total capacity would only increase to about 2,780, which many believe is far too small for a group of WayV’s popularity.

Fans have compared it to their 2023 PHANTOM fanmeet tour, where the group performed for over 4,600 fans, calling the new venue “humiliating” in comparison.

Supporters argue that WayV deserves a larger and more prestigious location, especially considering their popularity and the demand for tickets among their Korean and international fanbase.

The choice of such a limited venue has raised questions about SM Entertainment’s commitment to promoting WayV adequately in Korea. Fans are urging the company to reconsider and secure a more fitting location that reflects the group’s growing achievements and popularity.

As of now, SM Entertainment has not addressed the backlash, leaving fans to wonder if their concerns will be acknowledged. With the concert just months away, the situation has sparked rather heated reactions from WayV fans toward the company. It remains to be seen whether SM Entertainment will address the fan demands and change the venue in such a short time.
