Actress Han Ji Min, one of the top-most actresses in the Korean entertainment industry currently, recently shared the story behind her entertainment debut, which was no less than a K-Drama itself.

In her latest YouTube appearance on Jung Jae Hyung‘s Fairy Jaehyung channel, Han revealed that her debut was made possible because of a middle school crush. Right after her school transitioned to a co-educational school, rumor spread that the captain of the soccer team had a crush on her. When Han’s homeroom teacher found out about it, they took a picture of the two together during a school picnic.

This photo single-handedly altered the trajectory of her life. The soccer captain kept the picture in his wallet, which was then discovered by the coach. The coach’s sister turned out to be employed at an entertainment management company. Han Ji Min subsequently met with the coach and his sister, and with the enthusiastic support of her homeroom teacher, she ended up taking her first modeling photos for the agency.

Interestingly, Han’s elder sister, who she mentioned had a more outgoing personality, was considered for a role first. But the photographer’s gaze turned to Han Ji Min, who noted that her eyes looked different from each angle. She also felt a surprising level of comfort in expressing herself in front of a camera. And the rest became history!
