Korean Film “The Beauty Inside” To Be Remade Starring Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke
The hit Korean film The Beauty Inside is being re-made for American audiences – and the hit show is set to star Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke.
The 2015 film The Beauty Inside has been picked up by FOX 2000 for $2 million. The film is a romantic comedy a man who wakes up in a different body each day and must find a way to stay connected to the woman he loves. Emilia Clarke has been tapped to play the leading lady, and news of the role of the shapeshifters identities has yet to be announced.
The drama originally featured a stellar cast of Korean stars in the role of Woo Jin – the body shifting protagonist of the film – including, Do Ji Han, Park Shin Hye, Park Seo Joon, Lee Hyun Woo, Seo Kang Joon, and Lee Dong Wook among others.
The show was bid on by 5 different companies – including Universal, Sony, STX, Lionsgate, and New Line – all considered big hitters in the film and television industry. American networks have been vying to catch the K-Drama wave for several years, greenlighting remakes of famous dramas including ABC‘s green light for My Love From Another Star on, the CW‘s version of Oh My Ghostess, and CBS‘s medical drama based on Good Doctor.
