After Netflix released the K-Drama Squid Game, it was impossible to notice the instant popularity and recognition it gained worldwide.
In particular, alongside this, the cast found unrivaled fame in a short period, with the whole world knowing their names. As expected, leading actor Lee Jung Jae, who plays Seong Gi Hun has gained the attention of fans worldwide, not just for his dazzling good looks.
It seems as if the rising fame of Squid Game means that it isn’t just fans that are excited to meet Lee Jung Jae. Alongside the rest of the cast, and BLACKPINK‘s Jennie, Lee Jung Jae attended the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Gala (LACMA). In his dazzling white suit and award-winning smile, fans couldn’t get enough.
However, after pictures circulated of the cast at the event, one, in particular, stood out, and it came from none other than Lee Jung Jae’s Instagram. On November 10 (KST), Lee Jung Jae posted a picture with Hollywood royalty Leonardo DiCaprio!
The two iconic actors meeting seemed like a match made in heaven for fans. Yet, although known for being a veteran actor, many fans couldn’t help but joke about how DiCaprio was blessed to meet the legend that is Lee Jung Jae.
In particular, others pointed out the difference in their visuals. Despite Lee Jung Jae being two years older than Leonardo DiCaprio, fans couldn’t help but point out that the Squid Game actor looked decades younger with his stunning visuals and flawless skin.
Leonardo DiCaprio isn’t the only A-Lister that Lee Jung Jae has been spotted with at the event. Alongside the Hollywood actor, Lee Jung Jae shared images of himself that fellow Korean actor Lee Minho took in what looked like a very swanky hotel.
Earlier in the event, actress Elle Fanning also shared images of herself with the entire Squid Game cast that attended the awards. The caption, “highlight of the night,” showcased just how much influence and popularity the cast has gained since the show was introduced to audiences worldwide.
Actress Jung Ho Yeon also stole the spotlight of the event as she reunited with bestie Jennie and showcased that they are the true epitome of visual friendship goals!
With season two of the show confirmed by director Hwang Dong Hyuk, fans are excited to see what the next series has to offer. It will no doubt catapult the cast to even greater heights! You can read more about the LACMA event below.
