The actor has been operating without an agency since August, but reportedly decided to partner with SM after receiving encouragement from veteran SM singer Kangta. Having debuted as part of ZE:A in 2010, alongside Park Hyung Sik, Hwang Kwang Hee, and Kim Dong Jun, Im Si Wan has since made a name for himself as a respected actor. While he’s released soundtracks and collaboration tracks before, this will be the first time he puts out a full solo project.
The abrupt move has sparked shock but excitement among Korean netizens who seem to think Im Si Wan and SM Entertainment are a match made in heaven.
