The boy group’s agency, FNC Entertainment, decided to schedule a photocard distribution event on the day of their SBS Inkigaayo recording. The event was public and led by two of the members, Jongseob and Jiung. The P1Harmony stars stood among fans and distributed photocards to those present.

At first it was all fun, with multiple clips of the members seemingly enjoying themselves while interacting with fans making their way to X (formerly known as Twitter).

While the idea was well-received by fans due to how close they got to the members, everything went wrong when one alleged fan failed to comply with the staff’s instructions.

In a video that has now gone viral online, the staff and the alleged fan — who some are accusing of only being there to take pictures of the two stars and later sell them to fan sites — can be seen having a violent physical altercation.

The video instantly went viral, as concerned fans condemned the behavior and demanded for any attendees in future events to act accordingly and respect the staff.

Soon, the boy group’s company also spoke up about the event. Due to the shocking altercation, they decided to drastically stop all public photocard distribution events led by the members in the future.

At today’s SBS Inkigayo, during the photocard distribution event, there was an incident where an individual claimed to be a P1ece (official fan), refused to follow staff instructions, forced their way into filming, and verbally abused and assaulted a staff member.

Due to safety concerns, member-led photocard distribution events will no longer be held at public broadcast sites for the time being.

We ask for your understanding, P1ece.

Fans have been understanding of the decision, though many are not happy that one person’s behavior had to lead to this.
