Sunmi Has An “Existential Crisis” After Comparing LE SSERAFIM Eunchae’s Age To Her Time As An Idol
When it comes to the truly iconic idols in K-Pop, Sunmi is one of the best.
Whether it was starting in Wonder Girls to making her solo debut, Sunmi has been a huge part of K-Pop for nearly two decades.
Yet, one idol who was just born before Sunmi’s debut was LE SSERAFIM‘s Eunchae.
As one of the youngest idols right now, Eunchae has never ceased to shock other idols with her age, and it was Sunmi’s turn as she appeared on Eunchae’s Star Diary.
Eunchae couldn’t hide her excitement about seeing Sunmi, who is truly a legend in the industry. The young idol hilariously pointed out that while Sunmi debuted in 2007, Eunchae was only born a year earlier.
Sunmi couldn’t believe her eyes as Eunchae joked that Sunmi had been living as an idol for as long as she was alive.
Unsurprisingly, as Eunchae was so young when she debuted, Sunmi wanted to know whether the LE SSERAFIM idol knew about her Wonder Girl hits. Yet, Sunmi was shocked after Eunchae revealed that she knew that and kids nowadays all listen to them.
Eunchae couldn’t stop gushing over Sunmi and Wonder Girls, pointing out that although they are from different “generations,” the tracks are just as iconic.
When Eunchae explained that she wanted to promote and perform as long as Sunmi, the veteran idol joked, “Are you sure?”
While it has been a long time since Sunmi debuted, she also joined the industry at a young age as Eunchae, which is always hard. The video showcased how close they are and that even though the times are different, debuting is always tough.
