Siwon Responds To Angry Fans Who Want Him Kicked Out Of Super Junior
The backlash against Super Junior’s Siwon for his reaction to the passing of Charlie Kirk has continued to grow.
Charlie Kirk was an American conservative activist and the founder of Turning Point USA, a right-wing youth organization known for promoting conservative and pro-Trump politics. He gained fame as one of Donald Trump’s most vocal defenders, often spreading election misinformation and amplifying divisive culture-war issues in the U.S. While hailed by his supporters, Kirk was widely criticized for fueling intolerance and polarization, making him an extremely controversial figure in American politics.
On Instagram, Choi Siwon posted stories about Kirk’s sudden death. He captioned one of these posts with a quote from the Bible’s Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:23): “Well done, good and faithful servant.” The Parable of the Talents is a Bible story about the responsible stewardship of God-given gifts.
The full quote from the New New International Version of the Bible is: “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”
In response to the criticism he received for his Instagram stories, Siwon shared his point of view on Bubble, stating that he mourned Kirk because he sees his death as “a heartbreaking tragedy beyond any political stance.”
I’d like to explain, since there has been much talk about my post related to mourning Charlie Kirk.
He was a Christian, the head of a household, and a husband. Regardless of the circumstances, the fact that he lost his life in a shooting while giving a lecture in front of countless college students is a heartbreaking tragedy beyond any political stance. That is why I mourned him.After posting, I was grateful for the media’s attention, but since it seemed that my intentions were being interpreted differently by the press and others, I believed my sincere heart had already been conveyed and thus decided to take the post down.
However, since there is still much interest even now, I wanted to offer this explanation.
