“Threesomes…” — Former YG Entertainment Idol Allegedly Scamming Fans Surfaces With Adultery Rumors

He nearly debuted in a boy group.

A former YG Entertainment idol has been hit with criticism over his alleged scamming and cheating.

Fans of third-generation K-Pop groups may recognize soloist Jey from his earlier idol aspirations. In 2014, as a YG Entertainment trainee, Jey (then known as Jinhyeong) appeared on the survival show Mix & Match as one of three new contestants competing for a spot in iKON.

Afterward, Jey focused on his solo career, debuting in 2017 and then releasing music, including his most recent single “If You Do.”

In September 2024, Jey married his then-girlfriend, model Mayu Kitazawa, releasing a photoshoot showing the pair in wedding attire.

However, recently, allegations of the former idol cheating and more have become a topic of discussion.

After a viral post questioning if the idol was cheating surfaced on X, a video claiming that the idol was and had been cheating on Kitazawa was shared. In the video, the OP claimed that Jey’s alleged behavior had been an “open secret,” and unsurprising.

The post also alleged that in the past Jey held crowdfunding to release music, and did not deliver on more than one occasion. Some first hand recollections also claim that this occurred, with one OP saying they donated themselves.

With Jey’s longstanding popularity, it is not surprising that attention has been put on the claims, even if not everyone believes them.
