LE SSERAFIM’s Chaewon Was Asked If She Believes Kazuha Should’ve Trained Longer—Here’s What She Said

Kazuha had the shortest training period in HYBE.

Few K-Pop idols have a background as unique as LE SSERAFIM‘s Kazuha. Born in Japan, the idol learned ballet when she was just three years old and became a professional ballerina at a young age.

She moved to the Netherlands to further pursue a career in ballet, but she was soon scouted by HYBE after they learned about her and saw her potential.

She decided to become a K-Pop idol, moving once again to a different country—Korea. She trained for several months before ultimately debuting in LE SSERAFIM with the title track, “FEARLESS.”

Kazuha accomplished what few people before her have ever done. She debuted with little training, besting many other trainees to earn a spot in the group.

Her short training period was brought up in a recent episode of Turkids On The Block where she guested with fellow LE SSERAFIM member Chaewon.

So Ms. Kazuha, after six months of training, you made your debut. You trained for the shortest amount of time in HYBE, right?” asked host Lee Yong Jin. She confirmed it, and he went on to ask Chaewon, “Then don’t you think she should have practiced a little more before making her debut?

In a short and sweet manner, Chaewon praised Kazuha for her skills and added that her prior ballet experience helped. Because of her talent, she didn’t need a long training period!

But she’s really good, and she used to do ballet.

Kazuha was then asked if Chaewon was ever “territorial” because she had a shorter training period, and she confidently said that the former IZ*ONE member “wasn’t like that at all.”
