On August 13, an episode of SBS‘s My Little Old Boy showed Lee Sang Min’s process of moving into his new house in Yongsan while a group of panelists watched. Comedian Kim Joon Ho visited to help Lee Sang Min move in and help him move.

While sorting through the mess, Lee Sang Min found an old camera he had for around 30 to 40 years. He inserted batteries and turned on the vintage camera, reminiscing his past memories on the beach. Suddenly, pictures of an unfamiliar woman appeared on the camera, surprising both of them.

Ah… It’s Crab Girl…

— Lee Sang Min

Lee Sang Min had mentioned “Crab Girl” on various occasions in the past on the show. He had referred to her as “Crab Girl” because he asked her what she wanted to eat, and she said she liked crab. Therefore, he brought her to a crab restaurant to buy her a meal, while he made calls to borrow money because it was a time of financial difficulty for him. He cried while telling the story in the past, and many cast members and audiences expressed their curiosity about this mysterious “Crab Girl.”

After a decade, Lee Sang Min was surprised to find his ex-girlfriend’s pictures. He shared that he dated for around three to four years, and when asked why they broke up, he said there was a story but kept it confidential. Kim Joon Ho mentioned how beautiful she was, saying she looked like a mix of actresses Kim Hee Sun and singer Kim Jun Hee. Audiences could only see a vague image of “Crab Girl” in a bikini; although it wasn’t clear, there was no mosaic over her face.

TV personality and panelist Seo Jang Hoon expressed his surprise at discovering that “Crab Girl” was real after only hearing about her for so long.

On the other hand, comedian and panelist Shin Dong Yeop commented that keeping these memories in the camera might make his ex-girlfriend uncomfortable and that it’s “not proper.” It was not just Shin Dong Yeop who thought this; there was backlash after the episode aired because the ex-girlfriend’s face was shown on television.

However, in response to the backlash, the production team of My Little Old Boy explained on August 14 that they had provided Lee Sang Min’s ex-girlfriend with an explanation of the content and context of the broadcast in advance, and she consented to be featured in the episode.
