TWICE To Receive Award At Newsis Hallyu Expo
TWICE will receive the “Hallyu Culture Grand Prize” (also known as the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award) at the Newsis Hallyu Expo 2019. The event will be held in the Crystal Ballroom at the Lotte Hotel Seoul on August 23. The group is being recognized for its achievements in Japan and the USA.
Last month, TWICE released the 4th single “Happy Happy” and single 5th album “Breakthrough”, which won the Japan Records Association’s Platinum Record Certification. This honor is given only to works with more than 250,000 shipments in Japan.
TWICE has set a record of 8 consecutive platinum achievements from Japan’s debut best album #TWICE released in June 2017 to these two singles.
Members Dahyun and Tzuyu will attend and accept the award on behalf of TWICE.
