TXT Becomes Second Korean Artist Ever To Have A Japanese Album On The Billboard 200 Chart

Congratulations!

TXT’s new Japanese album, Still Dreaming, has entered the Billboard 200 chart!

The group released their first full Japanese album back on January 20.  On February 22, the official Billboard Charts Twitter account (@billboardchart) announced that TXT’s Still Dreaming debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 173 for this week. The Billboard 200 ranks the 200 most popular albums in the United States across all genres based on many different variables depicting their popularity.

This is not their first time on the chat, as TXT first ranked with their Korean mini-album The Dream Chapter: STAR, which landed at No. 140 in March of 2019. It was the highest-charting debut album by any male K-Pop group in history. In November of 2020, their third Korean mini-album Minisode1: Blue Hour took the No. 25 spot.

However, it is the first time any 4th generation Korean group has had a Japanese album on the chart. Also, only the second time a Korean artist’s Japanese album was on the chart in general (BTS being the first).

Congratulations TXT!
