TXT’s Soobin Goes Against BIGHIT MUSIC’s “Ban” And Earns A New Nickname Inspired By BTS’s Jin

“JINHIT” 🤝 “BINHIT”

TXT‘s Soobin earned attention from fans for taking a page from his bias BTS Jin‘s book by lightly rebelling against BIGHIT MUSIC to take his hair care into his own hands.

TXT’s leader Soobin surprised fans in October 2022 and stole the hearts of MOAs and locals with his newly bleached blonde hair.

“Blonde Soobin” made waves wherever he went and was the viral main event on multiple occasions for his striking visuals, including at the 2022 American Music Awards.

Fans were excited to see that Soobin kept his hair blonde for TXT’s most recent comeback with their new mini-album, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION.

Until recently, Soobin’s hair has been more of a butter blonde, with warm hints of white, orange, and yellow tones.

During their mini-fan meeting for Taehyun‘s birthday, Soobin arrived with lighter ice-white blonde hair.

TXT’s leader addressed the change and shared that he achieved lighter hair through the use of purple shampoo, a toning shampoo used to neutralize yellow and brassy tones in the hair.

Purple shampoo is safe to use and not damaging if used correctly, so while Soobin’s use of the neutralizing product wasn’t risky, it was advised against by BIGHIT MUSIC.

Soobin hilariously told fans,

I was actually banned from using purple shampoo but I wanted to change to white hair so I secretly used it yesterday…

He was able to achieve the lighter tone he was looking for, but not without consequence, as he also revealed he was scolded for using purple shampoo without permission.

Fans couldn’t help but draw comparisons between Soobin’s hilarious act of rebellion and his beloved sunbae Jin.

Jin has taken his hair care daringly into his own hands on multiple occasions, from dyeing his hair purple to chaotically cutting his own bangs.

Jin’s “off-script” actions earned him the nickname “JinHit Entertainment” because he often did what he wanted without listening to BIGHIT MUSIC, which was named BigHit Entertainment at the time.

Soobin has stated on numerous occasions that Jin is his ultimate BTS bias because of how he took such good care of TXT, though the members treasure all of their BTS sunbaes.

When the debut lineup got fixed, [Jin] asked when we had time and said that he wanted to eat with us someday. But we all got busy, but he got us pizza and said, ‘I really wanted to eat and talk to you guys, but it’s a shame that we can’t, so at least eat this amongst yourselves.’

Soobin’s “act of defiance” hilariously earned him a new nickname inspired by Jin, “BinHit.”
