However, on October 26, C-JeS Studio posted an announcement about WHIB member Leejeong. They revealed that Leejeong suffered an injury during a content shoot.

Leejeong was injured while filming content. Leejeong was immediately taken to the hospital for an examination, and was diagnosed with a fracture of the fibula body and damage to the intrinsic muscles and tendons of the ankle and foot area, and underwent surgery.

The agency shared that Leejeong wanted to stand on stage with his members, but they decided that sufficient rest and recovery were the top priorities.

As this accident occurred just before the debut, he had a strong determination to stand on stage with the members, but we judged that sufficient rest and recovery are the top priorities in his current state where moving without crutches is uncomfortable.

As a result, Leejeong will participate in WHIB’s Cut-Out activities and schedules but will not be involved in performances.

In response to the unfortunate news, fans left comments wishing Leejeong a speedy recovery.

WHIB is an 8-member group consisting of Jayder, Haseung, Jinbeom, UGeon, Jaeha, Inhong, Wonjun, and Leejeong.

Their team name, WHIB, combines the words “white” and “black” and signifies their confidence in showing diverse charms, like the two extremes on a color chart. WHIB is the first idol group produced by C-JeS Studio, the agency that previously housed JYJ and currently houses musicians Gummy, EXID‘s Solji, Noel, Hong Dae Kwang, and more.
