The June 16 episode of KBS2 Entertainment Company Live revealed details of Yoon Kye Sang‘s wedding.
The episode revealed that the wedding took place at the Yeon Bin Gwan, which is part of the Shilla Hotel.
The Yeon Bin Gwan is where power couple Jang Dong Gun and Ko So Young and top celebrities Jeon Ji Hyun, Lee Jung Hyun, and Hwang Jung Eum got married.
The episode revealed that the Yeon Bin Gwan is a “dream venue” but extremely expensive. It is reported that the venue charges north of ₩200,000 KRW (about $155 USD) per meal and that the venue starts at ₩22.0 million KRW (about $17,100 USD).
A wedding planner stated that the full wedding would have cost at least ₩100 million KRW (about $77,600 USD). According to the wedding planner, this is around five times the average cost of a wedding in Korea.
Yoon Kye Sang wed his non-celebrity wife on June 9. Celebrities that attended included Lim Ji Yeon, On Joo Wan, Lee Sang Yeob, Ma Dong Suk, as well as the members of g.o.d, and actress Jung Yoo Mi who is a close friend of the bride.
Yoon Kye Sang is an actor who debuted originally as an idol with the legendary first-generation group g.o.d. The actor left the group in 2004 to pursue a career in acting. Although the decision was very controversial, the g.o.d members would reconcile in 2014.
Yoon Kye Sang has had an incredibly successful career as an actor. His accolades include the Blue Dragon Film Award and Baeksang Arts Award.
