Viral K-Pop Group Faces Low Ticket Sales Again, Risk Of Tour Date Cancellation

Fans are encouraging others to get their tickets soon.

When a group announces a tour, fans are thrilled at the opportunity to see their favorite idols in person. For groups with a larger fan base, the biggest concern is securing the desired tickets; for groups or idols with smaller fan bases, the concern can be selling enough tickets to make the tour go through.

One way that companies have found to prevent announced tours from being canceled is to do pre-sales to gauge interest.

On April 24, the platform Kooky announced that the group would be taking city recommendations for their 2026 Europe tour, and then announced the pre-sales for the dates in consideration. In order for a city to be confirmed on the tour, it must be one of the first eight to reach 200 tickets sold.

Currently, Cologne, Germany is the only city to have confirmed a concert, with the other dates’ sales being closely monitored. Three have gotten over 80%, but a majority are under 70% with the lowest currently under 30%.

A fan concerned about the dates that have not yet hit the required amount emailed Kooky, which responded that they would be canceled if not met in time.

Fans have encouraged those interested to buy tickets in hopes of ensuring the tour will go forward in enough cities.
