Girl group Weeekly recently made their first comeback in 7 months with the album Play Game: Awake and title track “Ven Para”, and talked about their new comeback and concept!
Weeekly held a showcase for their latest comeback, for which they are currently promoting as 6 due to Shin Jiyoon on hiatus for mental health reasons.
At the showcase, the group talked about their song “Ven Para”, and how they’re challenging themselves by taking on a new direction with their concept! “Ven Para” means “come” in Spanish, and through the song, Weeekly call their fans to join them and make it through the darkness together.
Regarding their new song, leader Soojin revealed that they’re showing a stronger side to them this time, and really worked hard at this concept! She also commented on their choreography for the song, and shared that it went so hard, the members ended up ripping their clothes because of the intensity and power required for it!
We’ve taken one step further and transformed ourselves to show stronger sides.
Given how the song is a new style they’re trying, with hard-hitting beats and a darker theme, fans are excited to see the members onstage killing the performance!
