Youtube reuploads Girls’ Generation’s “Gee” MV

Youtube caused a lot of confusion and fury for the pats few days after it was discovered that Girls’ Generation’s “Gee” music video has been taken out. 

On November 9th, fans trying to view Girls’ Generation’s “Gee” music video discovered that it was no longer available, only citing a copyright claim by Youtube. The incident caused a lot of confusion and eventually fury from the group’s fans as the video is one of the popular videos on SM Entertainment’s channel with more than 150 million views, and is also a symbolic representation for their rapid rise to fame.

Fans then on speculated that the removal of the video was taken down as part of Youtube’s paid subscription service, Youtube Red. A day after, however, the video was made available once more with the original view count reinstated.
