“Yumi’s Cells 2” Kim Go Eun and GOT7’s Jinyoung’s Dating Counseling Session Is The Perfect Mix Of Playfulness And Wisdom
In a recent interview with ELLE Korea, Yumi’s Cells 2 co-stars Kim Go Eun and GOT7‘s Park Jinyoung do their best to answer some burning dating counseling questions, showing off their chaotic friendship and wisdom.
The first question tied back to the drama itself:
Jinyoung shared that he believed that the “sense” cell was most important, while Go Eun shared that she thought the “talking nicely” cell was most important.
True to their fun-loving nature, the two quickly started listing other essential cells, even humorously alluding to their steamy kiss scene.
The second question had to do with a classic question any fan might ask if they’re in a relationship with a non-fan:
Jinyoung tried to convince the supposed boyfriend in the situation, but his answer didn’t go so well, leading to some classic Jinyoung hand signs for editing (not that it ever gets edited out).
His redo was slightly better, but thankfully Go Eun pulled through with the perfect answer. Who wouldn’t become her fan, especially after that warm hello?
For the third question, the two had to decide who was better to date, Goo Woong, the male lead of Yumi’s Cells 1, played by Ahn Bo Hyun, or Yoo Babi, the male lead of Yumi’s Cells 2, played by Jinyoung.
The two unanimously agreed that though Yoo Babi was the perfect male lead for a drama, Goo Woong would be the better choice in reality. Their reasoning revealed their mindsets toward dating, revealing a more mature side that is just as attractive as their playful nature.
For the fourth question, Jinyoung’s charm burst through in his answer.
Though his words are straightforward, they make an excellent point: how you see yourself isn’t the way others see you; what you don’t find attractive might be completely worth falling in love with for another.
The fifth question is one everyone has asked: can guys and girls just be friends, and how can you tell? Go Eun’s answer is super direct, but it works.
The last question of the video talked about a situation where a girl knows that the guy is terrible but can’t stop herself from liking him. Even upon reading the question, Go Eun was fired up.
Jinyoung’s short quip summarizes her advice: Just leave. Get out of that relationship. And Go Eun makes a good point about the toxic cycle that can arise from staying in a relationship with someone who hurts you.
