200 Industry Professionals Vote To Decide The Best K-Pop Groups, Artists, and Songs of 2017

The professionals in the K-Pop entertainment industry voted for the “Best K-Pop brand of 2017”, “Best artist in K-Pop of 2017”, and “Best songs of 2017”.

This survey conducted by JoyNews24 included 200 professionals in the entertainment industry, such as staff at entertainment companies, producers, entertainment reporters.

The winner of the “Best K-Pop brand of 2017” won 82 votes out of 200, without any close competitors…

The winner of “Best K-Pop brand of 2017” was BTS.

Wanna One ranked 2nd with 45 votes, followed by S.M. Entertainment (20votes) and EXO (15votes).

Mnet’s Produce 101 placed 5th with 14 votes, followed by BigBang(6votes), Show Me The Money (3votes), and IU, G-Dragon, YG Entertainment and TWICE (3 votes).

Votes for the “Best artist in K-Pop of 2017” was a close call.Wanna One won the “Best artist in K-Pop of 2017” with 50 votes, while BTS came 2nd with 44 votes.

IU won third place with 18 votes, followed by TWICE, Bolbbalgan4 (9 votes), and Yoon Jong Shin (8votes).

EXO received 4 votes, and Heize and Sunmi received 3 votes each.

“Best songs of 2017” was won by “Like It” by Yoon Jong Shin with 49 votes, tightly followed by “Pick Me” from Produce 101 Season 2 with 45 votes.

“You, Clouds, Rain” by Heize placed third with 19 votes, followed by “Red Flavor” by Red Velvet (13 votes), “Through the Night” by IU(12votes), and “Gashina” by Sunmi (5 votes).

OST of tvN’s Goblin “I Will Go to You Like the First Snow” by Ailee, “Some” by Bolbbangan4 and “Autumn Morning” by IU won 4 votes each.

TWICE’s “Signal” and Wanna One’s “Energetic” received 3 votes each, and TWICE’s “Knock Knock,” Nation’s Son “Never,” BTS’s “DNA,” EXO’s “Ko Ko Bop,” Jung Seung Hwan’s “If It Was You” from the drama “Another Oh Hae Young” and Crush’s “Goblin” OST “Beautiful”  received 2 votes each, ending the list with IU “Palette”  with 1 vote.
