In addition to the acting overall being somewhat “stilted,” actress Eiza Gonzáles‘ performance was directly criticized. Gonzáles plays Auggie Salazar, a new character based on Wang Miao in the original series.

Eiza Gonzáles is known for previously appearing in Baby Driver and Alita: Battle Angel.

According to viewers, Gonzáles’ characterization of Auggie has confirmed beliefs that she was “miscast.” Others outright criticized her acting ability, saying that her acting was “cringe.”
