A 4th-Gen K-Pop Idol’s Advice To A Fan Led Them To Become A Member Of The Same Group
BLACKSWAN recently made their comeback with their second single album, That Karma. The group debuted with five members in 2020, but after a series of member departures, the group recently re-introduced themselves with three new members alongside original member and BLACKSWAN’s leader Fatou while Leia remains on a hiatus to focus on her health.
In May 2022, members Gabi and Sriya were introduced as the newest members of the group, followed by NVee in December 2022.
In a recent interview with Indian actress Sakshma Srivastav, NVee revealed that Fatou personally helped her realize her dream before she even auditioned.
NVee shared that she participated in BLACKSWAN’s fan event and sent Fatou a message stating that she wanted to become a K-Pop idol.
For the event, the members sent a video message back, in which BLACKSWAN’s leader encouraged NVee and assured her that as long as she “believes in [herself] 1,000%” she could achieve her dream.
NVee auditioned alongside Gabi and Sriya, but revealed that she wasn’t called back at the time. She returned a year later and passed the audition, and began to dream of running into her labelmate and role model Fatou, not imagining she would become her future group member and leader.
NVee’s dream truly came true, and she became fast friends with Fatou and her fellow group members.
